It’s hard to believe it’s almost December! We are prepping and planning for our favorite time of year, when we get to learn about the true meaning of Christmas and the birth of Jesus Christ. It is always such an exciting time for the kids! We will spend a lot of time in the upcoming weeks preparing gifts for our families, reading from our Bible, and recreating the very first Christmas in our dramatic play area. We have a few exciting events coming up before Christmas Break. Our Franklin class will be performing their first violin concert on December 16th. They have been working hard to learn their instruments and are very excited to share what they have learned. We will also be hosting special birthday celebrations for Jesus on December 19th and 20th. We love being able to share this special season with our school families.
One of our favorite parts of this time of year is helping our community with our annual Care and Share project. This is a great way to learn how to share our blessings with others. This year, we have picked our local fire stations to receive donations from our students and families. The Fire Department has requested new stuffed animals for the children they serve. We will have a large box just inside the front door to collect donations anytime until December 20th. We will be closed from December 23rd- January 5th for Christmas Break. Our first day back is January 6th.
We had an incredible amount of support during our Eileen’s Cookies fundraiser! We cannot thank the church members enough for ordering cookies, making donations, and sharing our goal with family and friends. We had a grand total of 428 tubs sold! This brought in $2,296.00 for our school! We also had over $250 in donations. Thank you again for all your love and support! Our hearts are full!
We hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year!
