We have been having so much fun getting to know new friends and getting used to our new routines. It is always exciting to see how much the children grow year to year. We are all getting the hang of things and enjoying every moment!

These last few weeks, we have been learning all about our community with visits from a UPS driver and Smokey Bear!  We’ve learned about how we share our family, friends, churches, schools, and town with people who help us in many different ways. We’ve also learned that we have an important role to play in making our communities a better place too. God has a job for all of us!

We started this year off quickly with a couple of fundraisers to give us a head start on this winter’s snow removal costs. We had an incredible amount of support during our Eileen’s Cookies fundraiser! We cannot thank our families enough for ordering cookies, making donations, and sharing our goal with family and friends. Our hearts are full! We are truly blessed to be a part of Shepherd of the Hills!

At the beginning of October, our classes will be painting 25 pumpkins donated by Albertsons to set outside in their main pumpkin display! Albertsons will sell our painted pumpkins for $5.00 each. If you have time, please stop by and take a look at our colorful preschool pumpkin patch!
